From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.
From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men–
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
From the centre which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Above are the Great Invocation and our chart of the Constitution of Man as it relates to the Aspects of God. Both have been a part of our daily posts for quite some time; The Great Invocation has been our Quote of the Day for 50 days running now and the Chart has been included and occasionally referenced for nearly 200 posts over which time we have added the last two columns to enhance our understanding of the reality of the Trinity as it relates to God, to man, to the Christ and to our Great Invocation. The purpose our repetitive inclusion of these things is primarily to introduce them to the readers of this blog as well as to continually remind ourselves that there IS much more to this spiritual endeavor that we have undertaken than the various doctrines that we may have been reared with. This is to say that there IS a deeper and more meaningful reality to the Truth of Life than we are made to understand by doctrines that have been formulated for us long, long ago and which are supplemented and added to by well meaning men, many of whom disagreed with some part of what teaching they knew, and it is this ongoing supplementation that has created our current situation of thousands of denominations and sects with varying doctrines who ALL seem to claim to have the Truth.
The greater reality IS that there IS but ONE Truth and all of these denominations as sects may see a part of that ONE Truth but we must say here that from our perspective that the most of these splits, from the ONE Christ into the thousands of different presentations of Him and His teachings, are based more upon the appeal of the carnal nature than that of the Soul or divine nature of the men who promulgate these splits and these changes. In saying this we are not supposing that there is no spiritual basis for these changes but rather that these changes are mostly wrought out in the minds of men and regard more so what benefits the man in the world than what will bring Him into the reality of the words of the Master in their completeness. Again, we should say that there is nothing here that is meant to disparage any but only to point out what we see as the Greater Truth which tells us that short of keeping His words, ALL of them, we are yet IN and OF the world as regards our spiritual pursuits and we must remember here that the Master tells us of the difficulty of attaining the Kingdom, and the Truth of the Kingdom as a disciple of the Lord and, we have spent many words showing that these two, discipleship and attaining the Kingdom of God, are essentially the same thing and that BOTH require that we keep His words.
Our Great Invocation then is meant to remind us of the deeper fulfillment of our spiritual quest, that there IS a relationship between God and man that is intimate and singular from the perspective of the Spirit that IS the True man who manifests this Truth as the Soul. Spiritually we are EVER one with God, part and parcel as we ofttimes say, and inseparable, and as we see in our chart above the Spirit of man IS to the Father what the Soul of man IS to the Christ and in this context we look to the words of the Master who tells us that “I and my Father are one” (John 10:30) which we should see as saying as well that from the perspective of the True man, Spirit and Soul ARE ONE as well. In understanding this we must also understand that the form of the man in the world IS NOT divine, it is but the vehicle that we have chosen for our eventual expression of divinity should we accomplish this in this Life time. It is, as the Apostle Paul tells us, corruptible which we should see merely as a word that refers to our form nature NOT being divine, it IS of the world; Paul says: “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep , but we shall all be changed” (1 Corinthians 15:50-51). We should see in this the reality that the eventual expression of divinity IS that change to which the apostle refers here and from our perspective this IS the realization of our divinity as a man in form in the world. We should try to understand here that the apostle, as do all the apostles, writes to disciples and aspirants as we are and not to the general and average public and although their words are such that most ALL can get some meaning, the Truth comes to us only as that Wisdom from above; and, this IS ONLY within the purview of the man who is focused upon the things of God to which we add here that: the greater that one’s focus is on the things of God, the less it will be on the things of the world and on the self….and then, the greater the realizations and revelations.
As we are reminded of our relationship to God as Souls in form we should understand that the nature of Life in form dictates that man IS lost in the illusion and the glamour of the ways of the world; this is apparent by our view of the world and the people therein who believe that their Life in form IS their Life and either don’t think about Life after death or see it in a rather doctrinal way as a sort of continuation of the self in either heaven or hell or whatsoever place is dictated by the particular branch of religion to which one subscribes. We do not so believe as we have found a greater reality and we have found this in the realizations and the revelations that result from our focus upon the things of God and our striving toward the Kingdom through our striving to keeping His words. We understand the ONENESS of Life, of ALL Life, and from the perspective of the Soul we see this clearly in the words of Paul who tells us that in our essence, as Souls expressing divinity through form, we are impervious to the ways of the world and of men and so long as we maintain our focus, there is naught that can separate us from our expression of the Christ Within as men in the Earth. Paul says:
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:35:39).
We should note here that these words come from that same chapter of the apostle’s Epistle to the Romans as do many of the more profound sayings that we have been using in our posts. It is here that we ourselves can see the revelations and the realizations that come to us in that Wisdom from above; realizations that we never saw before become perceivable to us now in these words from Paul or, more aptly put, we never saw the depth of meaning that his words have as regards the whole of the Life of man in the world. And we could add here that we come across new perspectives and new realizations almost daily in our essays as well as our expression to the world. This is the very dynamic that we were attempting to expose some days back regarding the growth of the Kingdom as the Master teaches us this in His Parable of the Mustard seed and the Parable of the Growing Seed as we discussed them. There is a steady growth by degree of the influence of the divine upon the corruptible nature of man but this growth is only available to us by our focus upon our goal and our objective which IS the Kingdom of God and being counted among His disciples and servants to the world.
And this IS the purpose of one of the additional columns that we have added to our chart; a column that equates these powerful invocations to the reality of the constitution of man and the Aspects of God. In ALL invocation, ALL prayer, we are asking for divine intervention into some thing or perhaps better, divine influence as there is NO True intervention into the ‘free will’ of the race of men except through the Soul of each man and this is of course the reality of our objective in Life, that the Soul will influence the man in form. Then, by invocation we can call upon the Soul to influence the Life of the man in the world and we should understand that if it were within the purview of the Soul to intervene directly, that the whole of our journey through Life in form would be unnecessary. We should understand as well that in invoking the Soul we do, at the same time, invoke ALL of the Powers of the God and the Christ Within and through them the Powers of God and the Christ as the totality of ALL such existence. As much as we can consider ourselves spiritually as part and parcel of God so can EVERY man and it is in understanding this that we can begin to see the True reality of invocation and of prayer. As we have said, within this idea of part and parcel we have the reality of the words of Paul who speaking of men in form tells us clearly that “That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being“; and this is True on every level of existence. In this we can find the sense of being a part of the BEING of God and of course this is primarily seen and understood spiritually. On the physical level we KNOW that we are part of the Earth and of what we can call the Earth Sphere, which term is inclusive of the mental and the emotional components of this physical manifestation and the Life giving principal as regards the very Earth itself, a principal that enlivens the ALL down to the subatomic levels which may well be proven to be the source.
We are encroaching here on much that is unknown and that which we can speak to only by premise and that revelation and realization that comes from our right focus and while we may not be accurate in our assessments here, we believe that we are on the right track and moving in the right direction. Part and parcel then can be seen as we have previously posted saying: In the idea of ‘part and parcel’ as an idiom is the reality of something that cannot be separated from a condition or activity* and in these defining thoughts is the idea that we are trying to get across regarding our relationship to OUR GOD. We, as Spirit, CAN NOT be separated from God, and, if this is True, God CAN NOT be separated from us as well nor from any part of HIS Spiritual Creation. It is in this that we can better see our ideas above on invocation and prayer. We should also recognize that as we are striving to attain that greater spiritual realization, others have already done so and in the idea here of eternity we should try to recognize that by way of their achievement there are many who are far more advanced than we; in the infinite and the eternal Life of the True spiritual man, this Earth experience, our experience of Life in form and the eventual overcoming of the self in such Life, is but a beginning. In this regard the Christ is our example and our goal, to be like Him, and from the perspective of Life as we understand it and as it relates to form and the Earth Sphere that we speak of above, the Christ IS the Highest of achievements; beyond this we can hardly even imagine, and beyond this IS likely the goal of the Christ as ALL Spirit is ever pointed toward the same and ever higher goals. When we look at our words infinity and eternity and when we view the boundless Universe in which we exist, we cannot help but to be in awe of the ALMIGHTY PRESENCE that we humbly call God.
And in awe we should be but at the same time we should realize that we ARE as God IS and that we can and eventually will realize ALL of this and understand our part in it ALL. This is the greater understanding of the simple words that we find in the Book of Genesis, words that are misunderstood by doctrine and by the masses and words that are clarified by our chart above as we relate the Trinity that IS man to the Trinity that IS God. It is in this way that man can rightly understand the idea that: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him” (Genesis 1:27). It is only in the realization that one IS NOT the body that holds this Life and consciousness that one can comprehend any of these things and from this realization will also come the greater understanding of our destiny as men, True men as Souls in form.
Using our basic language to discuss the divine and the spiritual is by design rather inadequate as these words that we use are words that are developed for identifying and speaking about the things of the world and this is much the problem that we encounter when we try to understand the words of the Master and of His apostles literally. He too must use words designed of and for the world to tell us about things divine and spiritual and, to compound our problem, they are then subjected to translation, and in translation to some degree of interpretation. The same issues face us in our chart above as well as in the Great Invocation, both of which must use these same words of the world to express things that ARE NOT worldly. By example we have the Mind of God which is a faint attempt at conveying the reality of what we could call the Universal Mind, but we would soon see that this selection of words is no better an aid to our understanding than the other. What then IS the Mind of God? and how is this related to the mind of man? From our perspective this mind IS NOT this mental apparatus that we use here for our lives in this world but it is connected to this by way of the Light of the Soul or we should say the enlightenment that flows from the Soul. The human mind, that nebulous energy field that communicates to the world through the brain is, as we have premised and said, a part of the physical body and its attendant psychic equipment or powers if we can use that term. The True mind is an element of the Soul and through it the True consciousness which IS of the Soul can and does impress the ‘lower mind’ of the physical form nature with the True Wisdom from above and IS the mode of prompting that we speak of in our essays. Here then is our example for today of the problems of language as we see that there is but one word that must cover both the mundane and the spiritual.
We will continue with our thoughts in the next post.
Note on the Quote of the Day
This daily blog also has a Quote of the Day which may not be in any way related to the essay. Many of these will be from the Bible and some just prayers or meditations that may have an influence on you and are in line with the subject matter of this blog. As the quote will change daily and will not store with the post, it is repeated in this section with the book reference and comment.
We are again at a time of year that includes the three Spiritual Festivals which are yet largely unrecognized by the Christian churches except for the one that recently past called Easter. We know about these festivals through the teaching and the efforts of the Master’s of the Wisdom who we should see as advanced disciples of the Christ, a group which may yet include those Souls that appeared with the Master as His Apostles, disciples and others who aided and assisted in His Great Mission such as the Baptist and His natural mother Mary. Each of these festivals is celebrated at a Full Moon and the cycle begins with Easter which is celebrated on the Sunday following the first Full Moon of Spring. At the Full Moon of May, which occurs on the 5th day of the month, is the Wesak Festival which is the Festival of the Buddha and at the Full Moon of June, which will occur on the 4th of June, is the Christ Festival also known today as World Invocation Day. As we progress toward the Wesak Festival we will post Quote’s of the Day that are, in our view, conducive to the view of the Buddha and the Christ as regards the spreading of Love and GoodWill throughout the world; we begin with the Affirmation of the Disciple.
I am a point of light within a greater Light.
I am a strand of loving energy within the stream of Love divine.
I am a point of sacrificial Fire, focused within the fiery Will of God.
And thus I stand
I am a way by which men may achieve.
I am a source of strength, enabling them to stand.
I am a beam of light, shining upon their way.
And thus I stand.
And standing thus, revolve
And tread this way the ways of men,
And know the ways of God.
And thus I stand.
We repeat what we had previously said of this Mantram:
Today’s Quote of the Day is called the Affirmation of the Disciple and is spoken from the perspective of the Soul and not from that of the man in form. It is the Soul that we are in this life on Earth, housed in this ‘temple’ of flesh and it is the Light of the Soul that must flow through this ‘temple’ in order that we may say with the Christ “I have overcome the world“ (John 16:33) which is our goal and our destiny. Speaking then as the Soul we affirm our reality and true existence in God and in His Three Aspects of Light and Love and His Will. As this Light and Love and Will flow through our conscious personalities and forms we, as disciples, take on the nature of the second stanza being able to offer to the world a better way through our service and our Love for all, encouragement to righteousness through our strength of purpose, and the Light which shines in accordance with the Master’s instructions to “Let your light so shine before men” (Matthew 5:16) and illuminates the Path. Finally we realize that we are standing in this world and walking as men but, as conscious Souls in form, we know the way and the ways of God and are able to say with the Christ that “I am not of this world” (John 8:23).
Let the peace of God rule in your hearts!
